Growing Up

Well, the girls are all growing up too fast. Here they are with my sister, Angie. She came over to play with the girls a few weeks ago so I could get some work done, then she folded my laundry, washed my dishes, picked up after the kids. Man, I love my sisters.
Sadie got four puzzles for her birthday. What a treat for me! I had no idea the girls were old enough to put together a 25 piece puzzle. They can and they do for an hour at a time! Of course I couldn't pass up all the free time that gives me, so I went out and bought 5 more puzzles so they won't get bored of doing the same ones over and over. It gives me at least an extra hour a day, and I'm sure it's good for them.

Liberty is walking now, and climbing. She's so cute with her little penguin shuffle all around the house. Her personality is really coming out now. I'm starting to get nightmares about the high school years. Libby, like Eve, is very emotional. She gets her feelings hurt very easily, and throws elaborate, dramatic tantrums so everyone knows exactly how she feels. She doesn't like it when strangers talk to her. If someone she doesn't know says hello to her she'll bury her face in my shoulder. If they persist in talking to her, or Heaven forbid touch her, she'll arch her back, whine, and if I'm not holding her, throw herself on the floor and writhe around. Despite her dislike of strangers, she's very friendly and playful with people she knows. She loves to play games and tries to get the girls to chase her around the house, and if they ignore her too much she takes their toys away or messes up their puzzles.
Sadie turned three on January 8th, which was very exciting for her. Now she's in the Sunbeam class at church. All last year she was waiting and waiting to be a Sunbeam like Eve. Eve's in the next class now and wishes sometimes that she could be back in Sister Widmer's class with Sadie.
Here's Sadie trying out her new doll house toys from Mommy and Daddy.
We had a nice party with the Browns and Grandma and Grandpa.

Here's Liberty's favorite part of the night. After the big kids were done eating she finished off their leftovers before Mommy caught her. I didn't know until then what a pro she is at drinking from a cup. So why is she still nursing every few hours?
Here are Eve and Sadie, my big workers, helping Daddy pick up rocks to fix the driveway.
Eve and Sadie really like to share beds now. They fell asleep watching a movie here. They seem to be getting more cuddly as they get older. We've had two great snows this year, and the girls thought it was pretty neat. Here they are on their slow way to Grandma's during a snow storm.
