Keeping Up with the Mavys

Yesterday Ben's dad, Chris, told me that Jason and Ruth get points for keeping their blogs up to date, so in true Mavy fashion I have accepted the challenge to compete for the most up to date blog in the family. Actually, I just don't feel like doing the dishes right now.
We're adjusting pretty well to having another male in the house. Then again, he's not taking up time and space in the bathroom yet. We girls might not feel so indulgent once he starts taking 30 minute showers like his daddy.
Honestly, though, Nathan is a wonderful baby. I didn't even have to cut my hair this time to get all the baby puke out of it! He nurses a lot less often, probably because he's not throwing it up all over me and the carpet, and he's growing quickly for one of our kids. He's 11.5 pounds already! He smiles and coos on demand now, and loves to watch the girls playing. I'm sure he can't wait to start driving monster trucks through their barby towns.

Here he is at 2.5 weeks

We got some nice weather the last week in January, so I took the girls to the park a couple times. We all needed to get out in the sun.
Sadie and Liberty calling the ducks - "here duck, duck!" Eve is scared of them since she got bit pretty badly by a goose a couple years ago.

Liberty's so cute! She and the big girls play together at night until they conk out. Sometimes they don't quite make it into their beds.

Here's the boy talking to his mobile today. He's 5 weeks old already!

Points? Why does he give you grief about not keeping up your blog, he lives right next door. I'm sure he hears everything before you get it on the blog anyways right?
I'm glad you keep it up for those of us that don't live so close!
Nathan such a cutie! We'll see you in a couple of weeks!

What cute pictures. I love the one of Liberty "conked out" :)I agree about getting outside. We're all pasty white :)
Nathan is already 11.5 lbs! He's going to be a big boy. He's almost caught up to Stephen who is weighing in at 16 lbs. 10 oz at four months :) Also glad he doesn't spit up like Libby did. Makes feedings more enjoyable doesn't it ?!

Like I say, Ruth - it's all about the big competition of life in our house. Everything is about who "winned" around here.
I sure hope Nathan doesn't get as big as Stephen, Renee. My back hurts enough from the torture of pregnancy. I certainly don't need to be carrying around an almost 17 pound 4-month-old!!!! It must make you proud that you can get him that big on breastmilk though :)

Love Libby sucking her thumb on her way to bed! So cute! And Nathan looks EXACTLY like Ben!
